Helen and Hugh were a reserved wonderful couple who wanted a reportage photographer in an idyllic location rich in history and chose a kew gardens wedding. Natural unobtrusive and romantic wedding photography this is what they wanted I hope you like the results. Most of my clients wan’t to be photographed in a contemporary manner, still maintaining just a few classic group shots, but the modern style related to the unobtrusive manner in which me and Zak photographed, it’s important to not take over but still get a large amount of photos of the family and friends
wandering through the gardens, guests began to arrive and the atmosphere was wonderful as the florists and events team began setting everything up, Helen arrived by a traditional Black cab, slowly driving through the the Elizabeth gates , Hugh waited calmly in the Nash Conservatory. The ceremony took place in the Nash conservatory a beautiful glasshouse, its floor-to-ceiling windows on three sides creates an airy light backdrop for the photographer. Helens unassuming nature was reflected in the whole wedding which was tasteful and very natural, she chose a stunning jenny Packham wedding dress which again reflected the setting of kew with delicate floral embroidery.kew gardens wedding offer something truly special.
As guest began to arrive, I shot from a distance, taking in the atmosphere and creating a story after the ceremony, canapés, champagne and fresh oysters were served in the princes wales conservatory, which offered a unique tropical setting, the light shone through the glass roof and bathed the guests in a warm golden light it was a photographers dream venue.
It was really important for Hugh and Helen to enjoy their day and interaction was at a minimal which for me is how a wedding should be. I hope you like the gallery. If you are thinking of having a kew gardens wedding you will not be disappointed.
